September 1st

Sooooo, I know we have been MIA for the past little while, but things have been absolutely CRAZY and I have had ZERO time to just sit down and write about our lives. SO, I will do a quick update with highlights of the past couple weeks and the craziness that we have been involved with. Okay? Okay :)

First off....we had our very closest friends Hannah and Devin Gillespie come to visit us on August 2nd and 3rd! We have not seen them since graduation, and probably won't see them again for a while because they head back to Logan for the fall and we are in Virginia. It is SO hard to move away from these guys....I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without them!

We took a pit stop to see the temple on the way to Baltimore. Isn't it beautiful??

Here are a few videos/pictures I took as we were walking around D.C. We explored the Museum of Natural History, National Art Museum of D.C., and the Air and Space Museum! We also walked by the Washington Monument and the White House. It was a TON of walking...we were all very sore by the end of this haha.

Hannah, being an English nut, found out that Edgar Allan Poe lived in Baltimore for a time. Sooo we hit up his grave sight and the house that he lived in! It was really cool, and we would not have been abel to experience this without Hannah's awesome taste in writers and their history!

We LOVE these guys. Now that it is August, it feels terribly weird not starting school with these two again. I hope we get to see these guys soon! Love you Hannah and Devin!

Trevor and I had our last day of work at Alterra on August 7th. It was a crazy hard last week for the both of us. We were both tired of the same routine day after day, and we had an impeding move on our hands that was looming over us all week! Luckily we only had to move a few things (two car loads) of stuff, so it wasn't too difficult. But moving is always stressful! Though it was hard at the end, we LOVED spending time in Maryland! It was SUCH a life-changing experience to see all the cool sights, appreciate the history of D.C., Gettysburg, and Baltimore, and have some crazy fun times with Braden, Jamie, and the rest of our Alterra crew!

A few pics of our last hoorahs with Braden and Jamie! It was so hard saying goodbye to them, but we will definitely go on a few date nights this December! Love you guys!

And here is a group shot of the whole team together! (We are missing a couple people that weren't at the last meeting, but everyone else's enthusiasm helps fill in the cracks!)

We rushed down to Virginia for a couple days before heading to Utah to pack our things and most importantly, to see our FAMILIES. Holy cow, we were so pumped to see everyone! We worked so hard this summer so this break was totally necessary haha. We flew into Las Vegas and stayed with the Larkin crew for a couple days in Saint George. We had such a fun tim goofing around with my sisters and parents, playing games and spending quality time together! We went to the temple again, and it was incredible. The Saint George temple is our temple, and it will always be our favorite :)

Then we scurried up to Provo to visit the Vincents and pack up our things.

We ended up buying a new couch on a whim (it was only $300 and was a TOTAL steal. brand new leather couch. we couldn't pass it up). We went to the pool, played board games, and had such a great time! Then, we had to get down to business and pack our stuff....boring haha. With everyone's help we were able to pack the cube thing in an hour, so no time at all! Everyone was very helpful, which we were grateful for. (We went to the pool after, because we were all sweaty, and we ended up creating a new game that we call 'sharks and barnacles'. It's actually quite fun!)

Trevor left the morning of August 16th to head back to Virginia. He started Law Week on August 18th, so he needed to be back for orientation and what not. Being an AWESOME husband, he bought my return flight for the following week, giving me more time to spend with my family in Saint George. It was such a wonderful week, and I am SO glad I was able to spend more time with my family.

Finally, we have officially moved into our apartment in Virginia, and Trevor is already on his SECOND WEEK of Law School! It is so crazy that we are already here! I remember thinking a few months ago that this day seemed so far away, but here it is! Life goes by so fast...it is so weird to think of all that has happened within the past few weeks. I am so grateful our families and friends that continually support me and Trevor in all of our crazy endeavors. We have been so blessed with finding friendships and love from people we have met and grown to love. Life is amazing guys. My husband is amazing. I honestly can't stop smiling every day because I am constantly surrounded by love and blessings. I love finding the little blessings in each and every day. Happiness is what pushes me forward, and I will seek happiness in every thing that I do.

I LOVE LIFE
